Tips & Talk 51 – Here’s the Key You’ve Been Looking For
In my messy “catch all” drawer, guess what I found? A key. But … a key to what? Usually, I have an identifier of some sort. Not this time.
So now what do I do? If I knew what the key went with, it would be really valuable. But holding it in its current state – without knowing where it goes, it’s useless. That struck me as such a powerful thing. In my hand was this single key that, with one important piece of information, could easily open the right door/box/treasure chest. Simple, done within seconds, and without another thought because access with the key is so effortless. But if you reach a door and don’t have the key, you’re stuck and can’t go any further. Or you have to waste a lot of time looking for the key, calling a locksmith or breaking down the door. Something easy that usually requires very little thought, turns into a big chore. All because of one little key.

Speaker:Mine is in the kitchen.
Speaker:I recently pulled everything out and reorganized,
Speaker:no joke.
Speaker:I had nine pairs of scissors for tape dispensers and three
Speaker:lighters for my candles.
Speaker:Of course,
Speaker:multiples of all these things surprised me because when I went
Speaker:looking for them,
Speaker:I couldn't find a single one,
Speaker:a case of having what I really need,
Speaker:but not easily at hand because they're buried under all the
Speaker:mess. You know,
Speaker:what else was in that drawer?
Speaker:A key,
Speaker:but a key to what?
Speaker:Usually I have an identifier of some sor like it's in
Speaker:a plastic bag with a note or the key has some
Speaker:type of a label on it or something,
Speaker:but not this one.
Speaker:Maybe it was one of my neighbors that I have in
Speaker:case of emergencies.
Speaker:It wasn't a car key that I could easily determine.
Speaker:So now what do I do if I knew what the
Speaker:key went with,
Speaker:it would be really valuable,
