Tips & Talk 98 – How to Celebrate National Bakers Crafters Makers Day
National Bakers-Crafters-Makers Day celebrates ALL handmade creators of the world! Being a maker yourself, you know that what you create originates in your soul. It’s very existence requires your imagination, passion and skill. And when you present your creation, the final result provides happiness for both you and the person who receives and uses your handmade products. This act of providing happiness is something the whole world needs – especially right now.
National Bakers Crafters Makers Day is meant to honor both those who have turned their handmade craft into a business and also those who enjoy it as a hobby. Towards that end, please join me in recognizing and uplifting the makers in our lives this week.
Here some ways you can do this.

Speaker:your path to finding new customers is@giftbizunwrapped.com
Speaker:slash bash.
Speaker:And now let's get into today's show.
Speaker:Three years ago,
Speaker:I invested in and created an official National Day dedicated to
Speaker:celebrating you.
Speaker:It's called National Baker's Crafters Maker's Day and is recognized on
Speaker:January 21st of each year.
Speaker:This year,
Speaker:2023, it lands on a Saturday,
Speaker:which makes it extra special since that's the day my longer
Speaker:guest podcast's Air Watch for a special episode coming up to
Speaker:focus on and honor you.
Speaker:National Baker's Crafters Maker's Day celebrates all handmade creators of the
Speaker:world. Being a maker yourself,
Speaker:you know that what you create originates in your soul.
Speaker:Its very existence requires your imagination,
Speaker:passion and skill.
Speaker:And when you present your creation,
Speaker:the final result provides happiness for both you and the person
Speaker:who receives and uses your handmade products.
Speaker:This act of providing happiness is something the whole world needs,
Speaker:especially right now.
Speaker:Making handmade products is also an investment of your time and
Speaker:energy. Not to mention money.
Speaker:The items you create are one of a kind versus factory
Speaker:produced and enrich our lives by surrounding us with beauty and
Speaker:individuality. If you've chosen the path as a small business,
Speaker:you often miss out on the holidays and personal time in
Speaker:that season in order to fill the requests of others.
Speaker:This day is also meant to thank you for that sacrifice
Speaker:and to show appreciation during this time in January of rejuvenation
Speaker:from the holiday rush,
Speaker:and to support you as you plan for the upcoming year.
Speaker:National Baker's Crafters Maker's Day is meant to honor both those
Speaker:who have turned their handmade craft into a business and also
Speaker:those who enjoy it as a hobby.
Speaker:Towards that end,
Speaker:please join me in recognizing and uplifting the makers in our
Speaker:lives this week.
Speaker:Here are some ways that you can do this.
Speaker:One. Call a friend who has a creative hobby and tell
Speaker:them how much you enjoy their creations and admire their talent.
Speaker:A compliment goes a long way.
Speaker:Two, think of friends who are handmade product creators.
Speaker:If you have a gift to give in the near future,
Speaker:Valentine's Day is right around the corner.
Speaker:You know your gift will be all the more special for
Speaker:its uniqueness.
Speaker:Three purchase products from small businesses all year round.
Speaker:There's a family behind the logo who relies on this income
Speaker:for part or all of their needs.
Speaker:Four. If you are a maker,
Speaker:support another maker through purchasing their product or just reaching out
Speaker:to tell them they've inspired you or motivated you to do
Speaker:something you've never thought of before.
Speaker:Even form a buddy or support relationship with a fellow maker.
Speaker:You can find thousands of them over in my Facebook group,
Speaker:gift Biz Breeze.
Speaker:Five. If you're part of a group like a quilting guild,
Speaker:do something special to highlight each other or start a special
Speaker:charity project in honor of an organization to pay it forward.
Speaker:Six. As a handmade maker,
Speaker:do something special for yourself on January 21st.
Speaker:Maybe actually use your product that you work so hard for
Speaker:others to enjoy.
Speaker:And finally,
Speaker:number seven,
Speaker:recognize overall that handmade products are how our more comfortable life
Speaker:began. Small pioneer villages of crafters making garments for warmth,
Speaker:jewelry for adornment,
Speaker:tools of all kinds to make tasks easier.
Speaker:Granted, we're more sophisticated now,
Speaker:but the passion for unique handcrafted items lives on.
Speaker:As a handmade creator,
Speaker:you are so special.
Speaker:Not everyone has the talent to make what you do.
Speaker:Thank you for the creativity you put out into the world.
Speaker:We're all better for it.
Speaker:Happy National Baker's Crafters,
Speaker:maker's Day,
Speaker:January 21st.
Speaker:That's a wrap.
Speaker:I'm a get to the point kind of girl,
Speaker:and this is what you can expect from these quick midweek
Speaker:sessions. Now it's your turn.
Speaker:Go out and fulfill that dream of yours.
Speaker:Share your handmade products with us.
Speaker:We want them,
Speaker:and they bring us both.
